Welcome to Shift4

We at Freepay are incredibly pleased that you have chosen us and Shift4 for your payment solution. A thousand thanks for that.

What will happen now is the following:

Your application will be sent to Shift4 and they will begin processing. Processing time is normally 2 to 7 business days. In some cases it may happen that Shift4 needs additional information or has questions about your application.

When the application has been approved by Shift4, the contract will be sent to you. When the contract has been signed by both parties, it can take up to 48 hours before it is active.

Setup

We will set up Shift4 for you and activate it on Freepay. We will notify you by email when Shift4, as your acquirer, is active. For good measure we recommend making a test purchase of 1 DKK.

Other information

When does Shift4 pay out my money?

It depends on business type.

For online commerce, typically once a week, unless otherwise agreed.
For subscriptions it will be daily with a 3-day delay.
For POS merchants with low risk it may however be daily payouts.

In addition, Shift4 only pays out once the balance on your account with them exceeds 100 EUR.
